He has held technical and management positions in the U.S. and in Europe. He was Chief Engineer at Honeywell Information Systems, Director of Product and Strategic Planning at Corporate Groupe Bull, and President and CEO of Bull Peripheral Corporation. As a representative to the Commission of the European Community, he chaired several Executive Strategic Committees and has consulted for the Commission as an expert on Peripheral Systems.
